PROJECT’S GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
To promote a Human Rights-Based Approach to Renewable Energy Development in the country and especially in IPs’ territories.
To increase the participation of IPs in decision making, dialogue and negotiations with county governments, the national government and investors in recognition and respect for their rights and territories in relation to renewable energy projects in their localities.
To strengthen voices of IPs’ demands for consultation and benefit sharing by the renewable energy projects companies.
To increase joint advocacy efforts among the IPs in the fight against exploitation of resources in their territories without Free prior informed Consent (FPIC) by multi-national and government agencies.
